Northeast Zodiac Netball Club – Registration Terms and Conditions (Summer 2025-2026)

By registering with the Northeast Zodiac Netball Club, players and/or their parents/guardians agree to the following Terms and Conditions, which outline the club's policies around registration, grading, fees, conduct, attendance, insurance, and other relevant matters.

1. Club Seasons and Registration

The club participates in two seasons annually – Summer and Winter.

Registrations for the upcoming Summer 2025/2026 season must be completed by Sunday, 13 July 2025.

Season start and end dates will be confirmed following release from the association.

2. Grading and Team Selection

Players are graded based on merit, performance, and team balance. All players must nominate preferred playing positions at registration.

Attendance at all grading sessions is mandatory. If you are unable to attend any trial, you must notify the club in advance by emailing nezodiacsecretary@gmail.com.

Grading Dates for Summer 2025:

Wednesday 23 July – All Age Groups (Preliminary Grading)

Sunday 27 July – Juniors, Sub Juniors, Primary & Sub Primary

Wednesday 30 July – Seniors & Inters

Team selection is carried out by a Selection Panel.

Selection in a team is not guaranteed, regardless of previous participation or experience.

The number of teams selected each season is dependent on the availability of coaches and umpires.

The Club reserves the right to name a squad comprising two teams and to adjust team compositions during pre-season training.

3. Fees and Refunds

Full payment is required at the time of registration. Registrations are not considered complete until payment is received.

An $80 administration fee will be withheld for any player who withdraws after registering but prior to team announcements.

Refunds will not be given following team announcements except in extenuating circumstances.

If you are not placed in a team, the club fee will be refunded.

Uniform costs are not included in the registration fee.

4. Attendance and Commitment

Players are expected to attend all training sessions and matches, unless expressly agreed prior to grading.

Senior players are expected to assist at a minimum of one Junior age training session per season, this is part of the club’s commitment to fostering development and mentorship within the club.

Repeated unapproved absences may result in a player losing their position on the team.

Players are expected to be punctual, prepared, and respectful to coaches, teammates, umpires, and opposition.

5. Code of Conduct
All players, parents/guardians, spectators, and officials are expected to uphold the club's values of excellence, fairness, respect, and sportsmanship.

Players must:

Attend and actively participate in training and games.
Wear the correct club uniform.
Treat others with respect.
Accept umpire decisions without protest.
Display good sportsmanship at all times.
Parents/Guardians and Spectators must:
Support players positively and respectfully.
Refrain from coaching from the sidelines.
Never engage in negative behaviour toward players, coaches, umpires, or other spectators.
Follow the direction of club officials when required.

Breaches of this Code may result in warnings, suspensions, or removal from the club.

6. Uniform Requirements

All players must wear the official club uniform, including:

Club dress
Club socks
Club bike shorts

A Zodiac warm-up top must be purchased at registration unless the player already owns one from the 2024-2025 Summer or 2025 Winter season.

Uniforms are not included in registration fees and must be purchased separately.

7. Media Consent and Privacy
The club uses player photos and videos for promotional and communication purposes, including social media, newsletters, and our website.

A media opt-out option is available at the time of registration or by emailing nezodiacsecretary@gmail.com.

All personal information is collected in accordance with privacy legislation and used only for club-related activities.

8. Weather and Cancellations
The Head Coach and President have final say on training sessions cancellations due to weather or safety concerns.

SADNA governs game cancellations and will communicate decisions directly with the club.

9. Amendments
The Northeast Zodiac Netball Club reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.

10. Acknowledgement
By completing registration, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by the above Terms and Conditions, and that all information provided is true and accurate.
